Reader Says: O'Neills, Tavern on Jane

Thanks to Jimmy for writing in and sharing some favorite AA spots with all of us. He says:

I suggest trying O'Neills on Third Ave and 45th St -- Midtown East (yeah, I know, ugh!). Happy hours, Monday-Fridays, there's an after work professional crowd. Saturday-Sunday evenings, which is when I usually visit weekly, there's an equal mixture of locals and tourists listening to traditional Irish music. Sunday evenings are best.

He adds:

I would also like to recommend another favorite of mine, Tavern on Jane, on Jane St. and 8th Ave, across the street from Corner Bistro. Great atmosphere, interesting chatter, and a much, much better burger than the Bistro! Favorite artist hangout. Definitely, AA crowd, in my opinion.

Regular readers know we completely agree with the Tavern on Jane assessment, and that it's been a reader suggestion in the past. O'Neill's we have not been into in years, but it's on our list.
