More reading someone else's words: we direct you to Alessandra Stanley's NYTimes preview of TV's newest Age Appropriate show: Men of a Certain Age. The characters are in their 40's.
The show premieres tonight at 10pm (ET) on TNT (channel 3, for some of us). We happen to be huge fans of Scott Bakula. Well, really we're huge fans of Quantum Leap. Anyway, these guys (Bakula, Ray Romano, Andre Braugher) aren't playing sexy fireman, but the show looks promising anyway. We shall see, and we'd like to hear what you think too. Leave comments below.

Best part of show...Scott Bakula's character in response to GirlFromCalifornication saying she gets off work at Midnight, is that too late for him: I'll have my nurse wake me
Worst part of show...mostly everything else. Badly and incompletely drawn characters who have nothing connecting them as friends.
Only other not bad part of show...the pacing. Enjoyed that old school slowness.
Highly unlikely I will watch again.
